There’s been a lot of discussion recently around new driving requirements for over 70s, including proposed eyesight and health checks as part of licence renewals. While the rules are still being reviewed, one thing remains certain — independence matters.

This renewal is expected to be needed every 3 years after the age of 70 and will be free of charge.

Though you will not have to retake a test you will need to meet certain criteria such as being able to read a number plate from 20 metres.
