The 3 Wheel Mobility Scooter
In the early days, there were just 3 wheeled scooters. They were simple in design. On the up side they were short and manoeuvrable in restricted areas, on the down side they could be dangerously unstable when in inexperienced hands or on uneven terrain. This could potentially lead to vehicles tipping and to serious injury. |

The 4 Wheel Mobility Scooter
The industry then turned its attention to the 4 wheeled scooter which addresses many of the stability issues but in doing so created two new major disadvantages. The first was restricted leg space and bad posture caused by the vehicle's layout. The second was the increased length of the vehicle inherent in all 4 wheelers, which in turn meant a poor turning circle, poor weight distribution and restricted manoeuvrability. And until recently, those were your only options. |
